Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

Lead installation crews on structured cabling projects involving Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and coax

Interpret construction blueprints, floor plans, and cable routing diagrams

Oversee the layout, routing, termination, testing, and labeling of all low voltage cabling

Install and dress telecom closets, racks, patch panels, and grounding infrastructure

Ensure compliance with local and federal codes, as well as BICSI and OSHA standards

Train and mentor junior installers and ensure team adherence to best practices

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and installation milestones

Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure timelines are met

Monitor safety on job sites and enforce proper use of PPE and lift equipment

Travel to regional and out-of-town project sites, with lodging and per diem as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in structured cabling and commercial low voltage systems

Demonstrated leadership on job sites and supervising crews

BICSI certification highly preferred (Level 1 or 2 Technician, or Installer)

OSHA 10-hour certification required

First Aid/CPR certification required

Associate degree in a related technical field preferred

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Experience with cable testers, fusion splicing, and OTDR use is a plus

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Work Schedule
