Drafter

A well-established glass and window company seeking a Drafter to join their team in Emmitsburg, MD.

Duties include: Collaborate with Project managers, Engineers, and Field and Shop Superintendents to interpret project requirements and develop accurate technical drawings; Create detailed 2D and some 3D models of glazing components and assemblies using AutoCAD; Generate CNC programs and toolpaths for automated cutting, shaping, and machining of glass, aluminum, and other materials; Perform material optimization and nesting to maximize efficiency and minimize waste during production; Inspect drawings for accuracy and consistency to maintain quality of documentation; Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to CAD/CAM software and equipment; Maintain organized documentation and records of design revisions, project specifications, and production schedules.
