OverviewWe are seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse.
A Wound care nurses specializes in assessing, treating, and managing a variety of wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical incisions, burns, and diabetic foot ulcers.
Their duties include cleaning, bandaging, debriding wounds, providing diabetic foot care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Wound care nurses also educate patients and their families on wound care, infection prevention, and pressure ulcer care.Shift’s Available: DaysEmployment Type: PRNHours: 6:30AM – 3:00PMLocation: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, ALResponsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds.Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co-workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patient's treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies.Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.QualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
You must have: Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state.
BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year). Wound Care Certification within first year of hire Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred
