Network Engineer

Job Title: 5G Network Engineer / 5G Solutions Engineer

Duration: 12–18 months (contract)

Location: 6300 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024

Pay Rate: $75-80/hr on W2 (paid every Friday)

Schedule: Hybrid / On-site expected

Key Responsibilities:

Private 5G Network Deployment

• Design & deploy private 5G networks

• Work with internal/external teams for integration

• On-site support for install, testing, commissioning

Private 5G Release Validation

• Draft & execute test cases (Ericsson facility)

• Document bugs and resolve w/ product teams

• Analyze traffic/performance logs

• Run field tests (throughput, latency, stability)

• Validate upgrades & network releases

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Main contact for 5G hardware/software issues

• Diagnose signal/interference/equipment issues

• Partner with vendors for escalation

Network Security & Compliance

• Enforce encryption, slicing, and secure protocols

• Work with cyber teams to close vulnerabilities

Documentation & Reporting

• Log all activity and test data

• Build performance reports & suggestions

• Create internal guides & training

Engineering Team Collaboration

• Support network architects & engineers

• Give feedback on deployments

• Align with IT, Ops & business stakeholders

Continuous Learning

• Stay current on 5G, MEC, IoT trends

• Pursue new certs & contribute to R&D

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors in Telecom, Electrical Eng, CompSci, or related

Experience:

3–5 yrs in telecom/networking

5G or LTE experience preferred

Certifications:

CCNA, CWNP, or vendor-specific (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei)

Technical Skills:

• 5G Architecture (Core, RAN, MEC)

• Private 5G/LTE deployment

• RF optimization & spectrum allocation

• Network monitoring (Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.)

• MUST-HAVE: Python + pytest

• Nice-to-Have: Linux, Kubernetes
