St. Catharine Preschool is hiring a Preschool Director for the 2025-2026 school year. Our program serves children ages 2.5 to 5 years old.

Job Description:

An early childhood professional who is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of a preschool to include health and safety, enrollment and financial wellness, staffing, training and retention, campus management, and delivery of high-quality education and care. This is a 12 month position hired by the School Principal with insight from the Pastor. The Preschool Director will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

Maintain strong relationships with our families, faculty, and church staff

Manage program enrollment and marketing initiatives

Hire, train, supervise and mentor preschool teaching staff

Assist teachers in the classroom as needed

Develop and maintain educational standards

Conduct child and classroom observations

Communicate effectively with parents

Organize and participate in family events

Attend monthly parish staff meetings and school advisory board meetings

Support the church and school’s Catholic mission and core values

Maintain child and teacher records

Establish and maintain the school budget with the financial team

Complete the necessary religious professional development, including Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Trained in Ohio’s Early Learning Assessment (ELA) Tool

Maintain highly-effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

Oversee all preschool operations including hiring, quality assurance and facility operations

Strong knowledge of State Licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Education or a related degree.

Certified or willing to be certified in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Recognition.

Have attended or be willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training

Satisfactory completion of BCI and FBI background check.

Salary/Benefits:

Compensation is based on experience and educational background.
