St. Pius X School, located at 1061 Waggoner Road in Reynoldsburg, is seeking a part-time Preschool/PreK Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year.

Job Description:

A childhood development associate (CDA) working to create a successful learning environment for children 3 to 5 years old.

Responsibilities:

Supervision of a group of children in a school setting.

Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment following all State Licensing, Ohio Department of Education, and Diocese of Columbus requirements.

Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with children and families.

Incorporate Heggerty and PreK On My Way curriculums and Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards into their curriculum and assessment.

Observe and evaluate each child’s progress throughout the year and provide information about each child to parents during conferences twice a year (Oct/Jan).

Maintain a clean and clutter free classroom and center environment.

Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training.

Demonstrate a high level of professional and ethical behavior that includes appropriate interactions with students, parents, and other staff.

All other duties as necessary for creating a successful preschool program

Reports to Preschool Co-Directors

Qualifications:

Preschool/PreK Teachers will have a minimum of High School Diploma.

Certified or willing to be certified in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse (training can be provided after hiring).

Have attended or willing to attend VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children Safe Environment Class.

Satisfactory completion of BCI and FBI background check.

Salary/Benefits:

Hourly rate is based on experience and educational background.

Paid holidays are Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Paid professional development days and evening conferences.

Professional development assistance: including CDA licensure
