Injection Molding Technician - Medical Device Manufacturing - Base Salary to 30.00/hour - Plymouth, MN

Our client, a Medical Device Manufacturer is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to join their onsite team in Plymouth, MN.

In this role, the Injection Molding Technician will support device manufacturing and will be responsible for the injection molding process including setup and verifying of mold and process, running machines, PM mold and molding machines, sorting, trimming and packaging molded parts to meet production needs.

Responsibilities:

Set up and verify molds and processes.

Operate injection molding machines to meet production needs for drug-coated balloon devices.

Perform preventative maintenance on molds and molding machines.

Sort, trim, and package molded parts.

Troubleshoot molding processes and equipment.

Perform equipment and mold repairs and maintenance.

Inspect parts, document visual and dimensional checks at the start and during production runs.

Document and report equipment and quality problems according to the Quality Management System (QMS).

Generate and maintain documentation on molding runs for traceability and reproducibility.

Support the development of documents such as setup sheets, forms, and work instructions.

Manage raw materials to ensure traceability and prevent contamination.

Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for molding machines, dryers, and water heaters.

Support the development of scientific molding processes and process improvements (automation, monitoring).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of experience in injection molding setup, processing, and troubleshooting

Medical device manufacturing is a plus

Understanding of scientific molding processes

Compensation:

Base salary in the 25.00 - 30.00/hour range
