Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler to produce custom-built mobile material handling machinery for rail-related markets. This role involves utilizing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly techniques, as well as welding, electrical wiring, and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs.

Responsibilities

Read and follow standard work, BOMs, blueprints, routings, specifications, and other diagrams/instructions to accurately and timely build and assemble parts and equipment.

Obtain necessary tools and equipment.

Handle materials, tools, and equipment manually or with a jib crane, performing own hitching as required.

Follow piping diagrams or other instructions to connect hydraulic/pneumatic hosing or piping accurately and timely.

Maintain high-quality standards.

Consistently maintain productivity levels as determined by management.

Spray paint parts as required.

Layout, cut, and fit parts as required to weld in place.

Prepare machinery for shipping.

Rebuild machinery and clean, repair, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust machines as necessary.Essential Skills

Ability to read blueprints/schematics.

Strong proficiency with hand and power tools.

Experience in wire harness assembly and assembling cables.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems.

Ability to read and interpret 3D prints/schematics.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience as an automotive technician is highly beneficial.

Lube Tech experience is considered, with additional training provided.

Ability to fabricate small components.

Effective communication skills with team members and management.

Desire to actively participate in continuous improvement activities.Work Environment

The position is based in a small manufacturing shop with working hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with up to 10 hours of overtime. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. Safety glasses and earplugs are provided.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $45760.00/yr.
