Job Description
A manufacturing company specializing in premium labels is seeking a Production Helper to support the Press Operator. This role plays a crucial part in the production process by ensuring the quality and efficiency of label manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Assist with operating manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) and position them as specified.
Continuously check for print and seam quality.
Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together according to specifications.
Utilize tools such as a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures.
Handle and palletize rolls to prevent damage.
Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide for label counts and conversions.
Proficiency in using simple Windows-based applications.
Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to read and understand a job ticket and measurements (able to pass a ruler test).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, team player.
Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions.
Physical ability to stand and move around the production area for long periods, lift or move up to 50 pounds.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Printshop experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of activities.
Assertive and solution-focused.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing site with over 150 employees, involving loud machinery. Employees are required to wear a hair net with hair up/beard net, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes. Jewelry is not allowed. Work shifts include Swing (1PM - 9:30PM, Monday-Friday) and Night (9PM - 5:30AM, Sunday-Thursday).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.33 - $22.33/hr.
