Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
Responsible for the daily maintenance of facilities and fleet equipment, which includes performing light repairs, cleaning facilities, and managing supplies. Additionally, act as the first responder to customers’ needs regarding fertilizer equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and light repairs on facilities and fleet equipment.
Clean facilities and manage supplies effectively.
Serve as the first responder for customers’ fertilizer equipment needs.
Maintain records for repair, service, and maintenance tasks.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, setup, and adjust components related to engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, drivetrains, suspensions, chassis, clutches, pumps, PTOs, transmission, and differentials.
Report significant damage or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Communicate with the supervisor when external expertise is needed.
Complete all required documents accurately and legibly.
Maintain a clean work area, including tools and equipment.
Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services.
Provide excellent internal customer service through phone calls, emails, and texts.
Complete required documentation for business or regulatory requirements.
Participate in work in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Experience in maintenance, repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Proficient in preventive maintenance and fleet maintenance.
Skilled in engine repair, MIG welding, hydraulics, electrical, and automotive repair.
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of systems related to engines, electrical, hydraulics, air brakes, and drivetrain.
Experience in using respiratory protective equipment when required.
Strong communication skills for internal customer service.

Work Environment
Work as a fleet mechanic may require going out into the field. The environment can be dirty and dusty, and at times, wearing respiratory protective equipment is necessary. Facial hair must be shaven if it interferes with the safe fitting of such equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
