Job Title: Panel Builder

Job Description

As a Panel Builder, you will be constructing panels for use in car washes. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints, laying out din rails and components, and identifying electrical components such as breakers, switches, starters, relays, timers, and overloads. You will also be responsible for fabricating enclosure cut-outs, drilling and tapping panel back panels, and wiring various size wires point to point. Additionally, you should be capable of programming Variable Frequency Devices (VFDs).

Responsibilities

Build panels for car washes by reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.

Layout and install din rails and electrical components.

Identify and work with electrical components such as breakers, switches, starters, relays, timers, and overloads.

Fabricate enclosure cut-outs and drill/tap panel back panels.

Wire panels with various size wires point to point.

Program Variable Frequency Devices (VFDs) after panel completion.

Test completed panels to ensure functionality.

Lift up to 50lbs occasionally and remain on feet for much of the day.Essential Skills

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.

Experience in wiring and working with 480v electrical systems.

Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, wrenches, knockout punches, hole saws, and wire strippers.

Ability to build, solder, and fabricate panel boxes.

Capability to wire panels according to schematics.

Expertise in programming Variable Frequency Devices (VFDs).Additional Skills & Qualifications

Computer proficiency.

Experience in drilling, tagging, and rigging backplates.

2-3 years of panel building or equivalent experience.

Skill in troubleshooting and electrical assembly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is fairly clean, with first shift hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 42.5 hours per week. Some overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northville, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
