Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Plato, Minnesota
About the Role:
Join a growing team specializing in the fabrication and installation of solid surface countertops for commercial and industrial projects. This position provides a path for career growth, starting as a Shop Helper and advancing as you gain expertise in fabrication and installation processes. You’ll work hands-on with materials, utilizing shop equipment and tools while learning essential trade skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain shop equipment, tools, and fabrication methods
Work collaboratively with a team, demonstrating strong communication skills
Manage multiple tasks efficiently with organization and problem-solving abilities
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace
Lift, load, and transport countertops, cabinetry, and tools (50–75 lbs)
Sand and connect countertop pieces to ensure seamless assembly
Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment
Assist with metal framing, crating, shipping, and job scheduling
Ensure sufficient inventory of project materials and shop supplies
Support various tasks on the shop floor as neededEssential Skills:
Experience using power tools and hand tools
Back ground in assembly, general labor, and fabrication
Ability to perform grinding and production tasksPreferred Qualifications:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
