Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a local Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract opportunity at a well-established mental health clinic in Columbus, GA. This position is perfect for RNs in the Columbus area or nearby communities who are passionate about behavioral health and looking for consistent hours in a structured outpatient setting.

Contract Details:

Facility: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Schedule: Full-Time 36 Hours/Week

Shifts: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Every Other Weekend Required

Contract Length: 16 Weeks to Start Potential for Extension

Orientation: Offered Monthly, Mid-Month

Active GA RN License (unencumbered)

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience

Psychiatric or mental health experience preferred

Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC

Strong communication and patient advocacy skills Job Duties:

Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving mental health treatment in an outpatient clinic setting

Conduct patient assessments, monitor symptoms, and assist in managing behavioral health conditions

Administer medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions

Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans

Assist in crisis interventions and apply de-escalation techniques as needed

Educate patients and families on medications, treatment goals, and wellness strategies

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic protocols

Promote a therapeutic and supportive environment for all patients
