Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.

Qualifications:

Valid New York State certification as a School Psychologist

Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field

Experience working with K-12 students, demonstrating effective counseling and assessment skills

Strong munication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support student needs

Knowledge of special education laws and procedures

Responsibilities:

Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents

Provide counseling and support services to students and families

Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies

Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive learning environment

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives

Provide professional development and training for staff regarding mental health and wellness
