Job Title: Tube Laser Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tube Laser Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating tube laser cutting machines to perform precise cutting operations on various materials. This role involves ensuring machine performance through routine maintenance and troubleshooting, conducting quality inspections, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Setup and operate tube laser cutting machine for precision cutting operations.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Conduct quality control inspections using hand instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

Program and adjust laser settings for different materials and thicknesses, addressing issues like slag, burn-through, or burrs.

Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.Essential Skills

Previous experience operating tube laser cutting machinery.

Proficiency in using hand instruments for quality inspections.

Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with CNC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, industrial welding shop operating from Monday through Friday, 6am to 4:30pm with half days on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
