Job Title: Journeyman ElectricianJob Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Location: Sylmar, CA
Shift: 1st, Morning shift
Pay: $30 - $35
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, control systems, and related equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Install electrical systems in new construction and retrofit existing systems.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Identify electrical hazards and perform corrective actions.
Replace faulty wiring and electrical components.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and safety regulations.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople on job sites.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians.
Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors regarding project status and issues.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation and repair.
Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
May require standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy equipment.
Must be available for on-call work, overtime, and travel to job sites as needed.Salary Range:
Typically ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience, location, and certifications.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
