Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating a rewinder machine that processes large rolls, cutting them to client specifications, and rewinding them. The operator will set up machines, perform change outs, and ensure quality control. This role requires reading and understanding work orders to correctly set up the machinery and perform tasks such as changing rolls, checking for quality errors, and ensuring proper machine operation. Once the roll is processed, the operator will palletize and wrap the product. Troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up rewinder machine according to work orders.
Change out rolls and parts as needed.
Check for and rectify quality errors during machine operation.
Palletize and wrap the finished product after processing.
Troubleshoot and identify issues with machinery, notifying management as necessary.
Maintain high attention to detail and productivity throughout the job flow and process.Essential Skills
2+ years of machine operating experience.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in a production environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machine building and mechanical assembly.
Experience working with blueprints and work orders.
Experience with quality inspection and overhead crane and forklift operation.

Work Environment
This role is in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with three shifts available. The current opening is for 1st shift (5am – 1pm) and 2x 3rd shifts (9pm – 5am). You must be open to training and completing orientation on the 1st shift. Expect to be on your feet for 8 hours a day and able to lift up to 50lbs. The company provides coffee, Gatorade, and freeze pops during the summer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
