Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team and efficiently manage the movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse.

Load and unload materials from trailers and rail cars.

Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped.

Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors.

Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counting and reconciliation.

Adhere to strict safety, quality, and warehouse production standards.

Utilize warehouse equipment such as scanners, vocollect, and pallet jacks.

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

6 months to 1 year of forklift experience.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.

Safety conscious and detail-oriented.

Able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Motivated to learn and cross-train in different areas.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial work environment, dealing with car parts and scraps purchased for resale to refurbishers or for scrap sales. Employees will work in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, contributing to the growth of newly added departments like the CAT Dept and Recycled Products.

Job Type & Location

This is a full-time position based out of Coventry, Rhode Island.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
