Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. You will work on Okuma and other milling machines, where you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and lathes. You should be proficient in reading and editing programming as needed.
Responsibilities
Set up, change over, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
Perform up to 4-5 set-ups per day.
Change G codes and M codes on the machines.
Utilize micrometers and calipers to ensure quality of pieces.
Enter data using computer systems for labor reporting.
Operate machinery for 80% of the day, with 10% dedicated to data entry and 10% to cleaning the area and packing products.Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in CNC mill and lathe operations.
Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
Experience with editing G and M codes.
Experience with logging and tracking metrics, requiring math and computer skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Programming experience.
CMM experience.
Experience with Okuma and other milling machines.
Mazak and/or DMG mill CNC experience (2-3 years).
Comfortable working on multiple machines and performing multiple set-ups.
Experience working with tolerances to a thousandth.
Background in a metal seal company is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a larger company environment as part of a CNC team of about 30-50 people. The work schedule includes a 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm and a 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, with training provided on the 1st shift. Employees are required to wear steel-toe shoes and work clothes.

This position is based out of Morton Grove, Illinois.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
