Job Description
Join a dynamic and fast-paced prototype shop where you will play a critical role in crafting custom machinery and parts. This unique opportunity allows you to work closely with the engineering team, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities
Perform basic bolt assembly and quality assurance independently.
Handle tooling and parts acquisition for various projects.
Run multiple setups and short runs, adapting to custom orders.
Operate CNC Mill-HAAS and learn manual mill and lathe for machining parts.
Execute one-off prototypes without in-house quality assurance support.
Conduct the entire machining process from start to finish, including programming.Essential Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Experience in CNC machine operating and machining tools.
Ability to assemble parts and perform quality assurance checks.
Understanding of machining speeds and feeds.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with manual mills and lathes is beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a very small, prototype shop that prioritizes speed and precision. Collaborate closely with the engineering manager in a facility located in Oregon, where most manufacturing takes place. Be prepared for a hands-on role that requires initiative and adaptability.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
