We have an immediate opening for a “Maintenance Technician.” This position will be based out of our Columbus, Ohio plant.
Summary:
CRC is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for safely maintaining and repairing equipment in the plant in a time and cost-efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform corrective repairs, preventative maintenance, and production setup as assigned by management; effectively communicate with management and engineers on assignments.
Ensure accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and time spent on work orders; both paper and electronic. Microsoft office computer skills are a bonus.
Have strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities; proficient with mechanical measuring tools; familiarity with electrical measuring tools, such as a multi-meter, a plus.
Be proficient with hand and power tool use; familiar with shop equipment such as a pipe threader, drill press, and band saw; use of advanced tools such as a welder, cutting torch, and lathe a plus.
Ability to operate a forklift and operate aerial lifts—training will be provided; previous experience is a plus.
Maintain adequate supply of spare parts to service and maintain equipment, conduct safety and maintenance checks of building and production equipment.
Be an active participant in a strong safety culture follow all safety rules, adhere to lock-out tag-out policy, accurately document administrative safety controls such as line breaks, and keep work area in an orderly condition.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment preferable in a chemical production facility or related industry
Training in pipe fitting of plastic, copper and steel pipe
Ability to rebuild, repair, and install various types of pumps, compressors, valves, agitators, gearboxes, and mechanical seals.
Experience in Instrumentation Maintenance, electrical skills, or welding would be a plus.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able to wear a respirator, fall protection, and personal protective equipment.
Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operation.
