Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Driver will provide safe transport for patients to and from the campus, utilizing campus vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides non-medical patient transport (NMPT) to and from Wellbridge property.
Maintaining a valid NYS driver license
Maintains vehicle maintenance log; checks vehicle for damage and problems daily, prior to use.
Operates vehicle in a safe, responsible manor, following all “rules of the road” and NYS and Wellbridge regulations.
Immediately notifies supervisor when involved in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) or an incident regarding patient pick up, drop off.
Keeps the vehicle clean and trash free and schedules vehicle for car wash.
In conjunction with maintenance and security, takes vehicle for repairs, routine maintenance, and annual state inspections.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Must be able to climb up and down stairs repeatedly.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. In and out of vehicles and up and down stairs.
Must be able to drive long distances or for extended periods of time.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Wellbridge’s Driver Criteria Policy.
Must meet all requirements and standards of Wellbridge’s Driver Criteria Policy upon hire and during employment.
Previous experience working in medical/behavioral health field preferred.
Valid CPR/BLS Certification
