TITLE: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
Department: Maintenance
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Start Pay range: $25-$35
SUMMARY
The Electronics Maintenance Tech is responsible for programming, set-up, installation, trouble-shooting, and repair of robotics and electronically controlled manufacturing equipment. Duties include but are not limited to programming of servo’s and steppers, and a knowledge of hydraulics is highly desirable.
TASKS
Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronically controlled manufacturing systems
Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations
Providing training and supervision for new technicians and apprentices
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing the equipment
Performing equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals whenever required
Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties
Light machining including making tools and fixtures
Following written, verbal instructions
Attending training workshops as necessary
Performs other related duties, as required

Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Keen technical skills and mechanical ability
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Extremely proficient with electronic components and systems
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree or other post-secondary training in engineering technology or Technical/Trade school
At least five years of related experience with a high degree of professional accountability

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particulate; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is mildly noisy.
