This is a remote role, but we are currently hiring individuals based in Kansas, Colorado, or Arkansas. Relocation outside the state of hire requires prior approval.Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced IT Generalist to join our growing team. This mid-level role is ideal for someone with 610 years of IT experience, strong technical acumen, and a background in Computer Science. Youll manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes, control access and permissions across our software stack, and play a key role in maintaining our SOC 2 compliance. The ideal candidate is also capable of building custom internal tools and automations as needed.Key Responsibilities
Own and execute all IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning/deprovisioning of hardware and software access
Manage access control, role-based permissions, and license usage across core applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian)
Lead and maintain SOC 2 compliance, including process documentation, audits, and coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders
Design and maintain internal tools and automations to improve IT workflows (e.g., onboarding, reporting dashboards, permission audits)
Monitor system performance, resolve IT issues, and provide support to internal users
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and department leads to ensure seamless employee transitions and role changes
Evaluate and implement tools and systems that enhance IT operations and security
Oversee security training and develop resources to educate employees on best practices for data protection and compliance
Proactively monitor IDMs security and compliance posture, identifying and addressing potential risks or gapsQualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
610 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar generalist role
Hands-on experience with user access management, device provisioning, and cloud-based SaaS environments
Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance frameworks and associated documentation/audit processes
Proficiency in scripting or coding languages commonly used for internal tools and automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Comfortable with ambiguity and changePreferred Qualifications
Experience using identity and access management (IAM) platforms or MDM tools
Experience building internal tools using low-code platforms or custom scripts
Prior experience supporting a remote or hybrid workforce
