Technical Lead Informatica PowerCenter to Cloud Migration

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Technical Lead to drive and manage the migration of Informatica PowerCenter workflows and integrations from on-premise to Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). The ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of data integration architecture, prior success in cloud migration initiatives, and the ability to lead a technical team through assessment, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end migration strategy from Informatica PowerCenter to IICS, ensuring all technical and business objectives are met.

Perform detailed assessment and inventory of existing PowerCenter assets including mappings, workflows, sessions, parameter files, and reusable objects.

Define project timelines, estimate efforts, and coordinate migration execution aligned with business priorities.

Architect cloud-native solutions and refactor complex ETL logic that may not be directly supported in IICS.

Manage and configure IICS Secure Agents, cloud connections, parameter sets, and taskflows for job orchestration.

Oversee configuration of source/target systems including databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and file systems.

Ensure secure migration practices including encryption, tokenization, masking, and compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP standards.

Guide development team in using Informatica Migration Utility, parameter conversion techniques, and cloud optimization practices.

Lead all phases of testing including unit, system integration, regression, performance, and UAT to validate successful migration.

Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to schedule and execute production cutover, monitor go-live, and manage incident response.

Provide training, documentation, and post-migration support to users and support teams.

Report progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and ensure quality delivery within time and budget constraints.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience leading at least one full lifecycle migration from PowerCenter to IICS.

Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter (v9.x/10.x) and Informatica IICS – including Cloud Data Integration, Taskflows, Application Integration.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and related data services.

Hands-on with ETL architecture, mapping development, optimization, and performance tuning.

In-depth understanding of data security, parameterization, data modeling, and data quality standards.

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across heterogeneous systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Informatica Cloud Certification (e.g., Cloud Data Integration Specialist).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, and hybrid cloud deployments.

Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
