The RN Supervisor in the Surgery Department oversees daily unit operations, staffing, and employee relations to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.

Collaborates with leadership and educators to develop and evaluate staff training and competency programs.

Manages scheduling, reassignments, and workload distribution to meet staffing needs.

Coordinates orientation, education, and specialized training for new and existing staff.

Addresses complex issues like patient complaints and crises, providing guidance and feedback.

Provides support to temporarily reassigned team members and participates in performance management.

Requires a BSN or enrollment in an RN to BSN program, with three+ years OR experience, current Iowa nursing license, and OR certification within a year.

Preferred candidates have supervisory experience, teaching skills, and advanced certifications.
