Salary: $45,000 Annually

Job Summary:

Establishes and administers strategies for targeting, recruitment, and retention of students to Southwest Tech Certificate programs and high school offerings. Helps develop activities and marketing materials specifically for recruitment. Visits schools and community functions and makes presentations to groups and individuals.

Schedule: M-F, 8 AM-5 PM

Essential Functions:

Implement, monitor, and achieve annual recruitment goals for assigned programs, including engagement in consistent prospect followup, routine tracking procedures, and development of reports on the inquiry and applicant pools.

Manage applicant pool, utilizing campus administrative software and ongoing strategic communication, including inperson appointments, phone calls, texts, emails, and various other media in an effort to encourage an application for admission and ultimately enrollment.

Meet with and counsel prospective students to provide tours and information on programs, the admissions process, financial aid information, and opportunities at the college. Respond with immediacy to the needs of the prospect.

Collaborate closely with Academics to strategically identify programs requiring enhanced recruitment efforts to boost enrollment, focusing on programs with the greatest potential for growth. Engage in proactive outreach to cultivate interest among prospective students, using personalized communication and engagement strategies.

Maintain a clear understanding and support of the mission of the institution and communicate this to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, and other stakeholders.

Represent and market Southwest Tech to prospective students, community groups, and other targeted audiences, including attendance at college fairs and other offcampus recruitment events. Periodic travel throughout the year and occasional evening and weekend work.

Contribute to the planning and execution of activities and special events designed to enhance enrollment, including oncampus tours, open houses, and orientation events.

Complete routine office work and reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedules, travel, special programs, and professional development.

Perform related or other duties as assigned to support the Student Services team, including work in other functional areas to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.

Qualifications:

To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

Education: Technical College Certificate, Associate's or Bachelors degree required.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Willing and able to travel. Some evening and weekend work is required.

Ability to manage a recruitment strategy for the Colleges four-county service region, work under tight deadlines, and meet assigned enrollment goals.

Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and maintain a positive attitude.

Passionate about Southwest Tech and technical education.

Ability to interact effectively and represent the institution professionally with a variety of on and offcampus constituents. Professional demeanor, dress, and personal interactions.

Skills in effective verbal and written communication and public presentations.

Excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects.

Working knowledge of computers and the ability to work with database software tools.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong studentcentered ethic and customer service orientation.

Experience:12 years of related outreach experience.

Background Check:Must be able to pass a background check.

Environmental Factors:

Conventional Educational Environment. In some programs, employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals and the hazards associated with their respective industry equipment.
