EXPERIENCED Wire EDM Operator
in Parma, OH

Clean Facility with New Equipment and an owner who is a Leader, not "just a boss."
Monday - Friday
8 hour shift between the hours of 6:00am and 5:00pm - you get to set your own schedule!
Hourly Rate: $25-32/hr based on skills, abilities, and experience - with the potential for a higher hourly rate for a candidate with exceptional qualifications.

SUMMARY
Primary function is to analyze specifications/blueprints, lay out tool steels, set up and operate machines to fabricate, fit and assemble parts/cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gages, and machinists' hand tools. Will require running multiple projects at the same time. This job description may be modified periodically as the duties and responsibilities may change with the growth of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all company and equipment operation safety procedures
Exhibits proficiency with wire EDM machining
Ability to read and work from blueprints, sketches, and written specs
Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes products to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations
Proficient in editing existing and creating new programs with G&M codes.
Ability to use advanced shop mathematics
Ability to calculate and set optimal controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant, flow, and depth/angle of cut
Ability to operate machines while detecting any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machines, and adjusting machine controls or control media as required
Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications with the ability to use all types of precision measuring instruments
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances
Design tools, jigs, fixtures, and templates to use as work aids
Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
Keep work area clean and orderly
Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Be comfortable with change and have the ability to quickly adapt
Work closely with all stakeholders to communicate customer needs, adjust requirements based on feedback, prioritize and manage changing requirements
Collaborate with all staff in our facility
Fill out daily operator maintenance checklists, inspection sheets and all applicable paperwork
Other duties may be assigned based on business requirements and applicable skills and abilities
QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and proficient in all shop math including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Minimum of three years’ experience
