Salary: $16 - $18.80/hour
Position Overview:
The Inventory Associate is a key player in managing the day-to-day operations within the Inventory Department. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments to investigate and resolve inventory-related issues and inquiries. The Inventory Associate is responsible for reconciling data and ensuring accurate inventory records, including any necessary adjustments or moves of on-hand inventory.
Essential Job Functions:
Service Shipping Department: Provide timely support to the shipping department staff to facilitate accurate and efficient order completion.
Audit Bin Locations: Conduct audits of bin locations as required across various buildings to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company needs.
Maintain Inventory: Oversee inventory levels based on audit findings and requests from internal and external customers, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Data Reconciliation: Reconcile inventory data regularly, addressing discrepancies and making necessary adjustments to maintain accurate on-hand inventory records.
Issue Investigation: Work with multiple departments to investigate and resolve any inventory issues or inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Inventory Adjustments: Be accountable for performing and documenting any adjustments or moves of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reporting: Generate and review inventory reports, identifying trends and issues that may require attention or corrective action.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support inventory-related initiatives and improvements, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures related to inventory control and management.
Qualifications:
Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment
Ability to read and write English
Ability to become proficient with ERP; previous experience preferred
Basic Microsoft Excel skills
Basic math skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day
Ability to climb ladders up to 16 ft.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks
