Opportunity Snapshot:

Compensation: $116/hour

Location: Houston, TX (Downtown)

Duration: 12 months+

Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Responsibilities

Maintenance strategy and assurance of integrity/ reliability of offshore platform plant and equipment

Analyzing equipment failures and preparing reports regarding findings and cause of failures; identifying remedial actions, including revisions to the maintenance strategy and following up on implementation of agreed actions

Leading the implementation of the failure resolving process using Root Cause Failure Analysis; presenting, supporting and validating recommendations from failure reports

Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of systems and procedures to improve maintenance plans, policies and programs

Supporting maintenance department activities associated with the technical operations related to instrumentation and automation equipment located offshore as spares; specifying procedures and materials needed for safe and effective execution of offshore work, such as major equipment overhauls, annual shutdowns and equipment modifications. Supporting implementations of preventative maintenance programs for all production equipment and other facilities, such as control systems and automation hardware, software systems, communication and network equipment

Coordinating with Planners and Supervisors for the scheduling of major maintenance activities and other technical/ operating programs

Ensuring by personal inspection that repaired items and purchased items are fit for service within time requirements

Assisting in the selection of vendors and contractors for the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies, and the contracting of engineering consultants, workshops and specialized technical services to improve operating efficiency; reviewing vendors' O&M manuals and drawings relating to new equipment for technical correctness and to ensure information is transferred to CMMS, maintenance strategy and maintenance procedures

Ensuring work output complies with relevant procedures; reviewing work output of assigned staff as needed

Preparing estimates and assisting in the review of proposed schedules; maintaining plan targets and controlling budget spending

Participating in discussions with Field Management and visiting jobsites as needed

Qualifications

A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or 10 years controls related experience is required

A minimum of 5 years' experience on implementation of process control and related systems in processing plants is required

Extensive knowledge in industry standards for documentation, basic regulatory and discreet control, loop tuning, safety systems, and PLC configuration is required

Knowledge reading and developing of process, electrical and Instrumentation drawings Cause and Effect Diagrams, specification and control narratives is required

Configuration experience in various HMI and PLC platforms along with function block and ladder logic programming is required

Working experience with Allen Bradley PLC is preferred

Working knowledge of Honeywell Experion DCS, and Triconex Safety Systems configuration experience is a plus

Ability to independently manage multiple tasks as well as being able to manage large amounts of work through others (like contractor support) is required

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and climb a ladder

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization (operations and contractors), both verbally and in writing

Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and be on call as required
