Description
Columbus Crew is seeking a Manager, Match Presentation to build matchday marketing programs while executing a first-class match experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Events & Grassroots Marketing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate on the season-long theme night calendar creation that includes giveaways, entertainment moments, and Corporate Partnership title nights
Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships & Ticket Sales Department to drive revenue and create programs that drive revenue
Lead the preseason planning and development of on-field staging elements
Collaborate on rehearsal and matchday scripts with Scoreboard Operations
Update the matchday run of show for inter-departmental use
Ideate and schedule all elements of matchday presentation including on-field elements, videoboard promotions and stadium activations for tournaments
Deliver tickets and communicate logistics (i.e. tickets, parking, timing, meals, etc.) to all presentation elements
Submit and review all scoreboard requests to ensure all necessary information is included
Serve as Field Director on matchday, ensuring all on-field and presentation elements are delivered in a timely and professional fashion
Serve as the matchday liaison between Team Ops and the Control Room
Represent the Club as matchday presentation lead
Assist with externally-led soccer events (i.e. US Soccer)
Oversee the season-long Presentation Intern
Matchday budget tracking
Other duties as assigned
Required skills, experience & abilities
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
Minimum of 3 years' experience working with game presentation, experience in Major League Soccer is a plus
Strong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye and attention to detail
Creative thinker and strategist with an ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects with various deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead a large group of staff and/or volunteers
Able to work home matches and other select events
Able to attend additional evenings, weekends and events
