Job Summary

The ACAA’s Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating new and existing processes for operational efficiencies, cost reduction, and sustainability; lead process innovation. Uses fundamental engineering concepts to analyze operation data, identify efficiency improvement opportunities, and implements technology enhancements.

Here is how the Process Engineer will help:

Evaluate and improve existing Asset Management processes through measurements and interpretive data.

Act as ambassador for the Asset Management department, support its continual development, assist with data analysis, and help support change culture

Support development of the infrastructure asset portfolio, planned maintenance programs, and related workflows

Work with frontline staff to analyze & assess maintenance operations to increase data quality, improve productivity, and identify process improvement opportunities.

Support development of Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and Reliability Centered Maintenance programs for infrastructure assets

Originator, distributor, and point of contact for metric reports related to utilization of staff, asset performance, preventative maintenance, regulatory compliance, and KPIs.

Generate SOPs related to P.M. optimization and CMMS processes

Assist in the development of CMMS systems workflows and associated mobility application

Support CMMS training SOP development and provide technical user support with continuous improvement of curriculum.

Participates on cross functional projects, collaborates with IT, PSOM, Allegheny County Airport (AGC), and contractors to ensure compliance to policy and procedure.

Provide process engineering technical support for maintenance and Engineering departments.

Prepare a variety of reports, forms, executive summaries, and project details for assigned or special projects

Partner with Workplace Safety Manager to perform job safety analysis for injury prevention, risk-control and compliance.

Develop innovative solutions to system and process inefficiencies.

Performs other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Requirements to apply for the role of Process Engineer are:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical engineering, or a related field.

At least two years related work experience.

Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Class C driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:

Extensive knowledge of engineering methods, practices, and procedures.

Ingenuity to design new production processes for efficiencies and innovation.

Knowledge of process-related standards, process simulations, and process engineering software.

Exceptional critical thinking skills to solve problems requiring logic, reasoning, identifying strengths and weaknesses, identifying conclusions, and recommending different approaches.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Asana

Experienced use in CMMS programs such as JD Edwards or ServiceNow

Extensive organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to travel 5% to 10%.

CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a moderate or quiet noise level in the office work environment. Subject to remain on duty beyond normal hours or be recalled to duty up to 24 hours per day, seven days a week during emergency situations or other extensive periods.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Employment is contingent upon the results of a post-offer (initial employment or promotion) physical examination performed by the Authority’s examining physician.

DRUG TESTING

Employment is contingent upon the results of a post-offer (initial employment or promotion) drug screening. Continued employment may be subject to drug and alcohol testing conducted without advance notice and without individualized suspicion.

Must pass a thorough investigation, consisting of a criminal history check (including but not limited to the requirements of CFR 1542.209 and 1542.3), verification of prior employment and performance, reference and credentials checks.

When HRA funding is included, the health-plan deductibles paid by ACAA employees are about $1,200 lower on average than the costs paid by employees of other companies.

ACAA does not require that employees meet a separate deductible for pharmacy expenses before prescription-drug coverage kicks in.
