Job Summary:
We are seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to schematic reviews and support PCB layout efforts for advanced wearable physiological monitoring devices. You will be responsible for creating high-reliability, compact, mixed-signal circuit boards optimized for manufacturability, testability, and system integration. You will be responsible for designing appropriate layer stackups and DRC rule sets according to design specific board-house requirements.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on designer with strong experience in multilayer board design, mixed-signal circuit layout, and design practices for manufacturability and test.
Salary: The compensation package will be commensurate with the successful applicants experience.

Key Responsibilities
Lead schematic review and PCB layout using Altium Designer for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex designs (26+ layers).
Develop miniaturized, high-density mixed-signal PCBs including analog, digital, RF, and optical circuits.
Collaborate with system design, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure tight electromechanical integration.
Apply Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process.
Manage PCB component libraries and documentation across multiple projects.
Prepare and maintain bills of materials; proactively address component sourcing and lifecycle issues.
Support rapid prototyping and transition of designs into production.
Implement IPC and other relevant industry standards to ensure layout quality and compliance.
Stay current with PCB fabrication processes, materials, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
Associates degree with 7+ years of experience or Bachelors degree with 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering.
Demonstrated proficiency with Altium Designer for component creation, library management, schematic capture and layout.
Strong experience with miniaturized multilayer PCB design (rigid, flex, and rigid-flex).
Experience with sensitive mixed-signal circuits, low-noise analog design, EMC, and wireless communication system design (BLE).
Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly best practices.
Experience with electromechanical integration.
Experience with Design for Test (DFT)/ Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience designing to IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2 standards (medical device safety and EMC).
Experience designing test fixtures to improve and automate circuit-board bring-up and test.
Experience in wearable device development, including ergonomic and low-power considerations.
Experience with circuit design and/or circuit simulation.
Familiarity with physiological signal acquisition (e.g., optical, EEG, EMG, EOG).
Experience working in startups or small teams with high levels of autonomy.
