Our location based in Long Island City - Metals Division is seeking an Estimator / Drafter. In this role, candidates should have an outgoing personality, good communication skills and like to work with the general public. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Ability to review plans/drawings, specifications in order to generate sheet metal take-offs

Preparing computer-generated estimates for edge metal systems

Estimating standing seam roofing systems, will train

Preparing shop drawings and submittals documents

Managing bids from contractors, follow up

Work closely with Branch ManagerQualifications:

Must have a can do, customer service first attitude.

A good memory to be able retain a working technical knowledge on vast amounts of building materials

Proficient in creating technical drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD

Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication or metal roofing is a plus

Effective time management and multi-tasking skills

Wage Range: $25 - $35/hour plus additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
