Electrical/RF Engineer

Description:

Compass Systems, Inc. is seeking an an experienced electrical engineer with detailed knowledge and experience with pulsed-power and troubleshooting electrical/electronic control systems.

Works alongside a team of electrical engineers/engineering technicians to develop engineering procedures and controls, manage project efforts and take the lead in problem resolution

Interfaces with program contractors, vendors and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects, test scheduling, planning and test conduct

Researches and assists with design and integrates high power transmitter systems

Operates and maintains high voltage equipment used to perform electromagnetic capability testing

Plans and conducts electromagnetic compatibility simulation testing, data collection, processing and analyses

Identifies system malfunctions and coordinates repair and maintenance requirementsRequirements:

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other relevant fields.

3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment

Experience with RF systems including but not limited to radars and magnetrons

Experience working as a team lead

Willing to work both indoors and outdoors

Knowledge and experience using electronic test equipment

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include; MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience using high power systems

Familiarity with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing

Previous experience working with military aircraft

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit, walk, see, hear, and feel. Occasionally will need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Moderate environment temperature and noise level. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. Can learn and apply new information and/or skills.
