As USAC continues to support universal service impacting health care providers, educators, and consumers, it is critical now more than ever that we hire people equally passionate and committed to helping fulfill our mission. We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as a Software Developer III with our IT team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development you will:
Provide support for critical business functions through the development, implementation, testing and maintenance of applications systems.
Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software automation.
Drive Business Process Management (BPM) adoption within USAC through use of Appian or other applicable BPM tool.
Follow established software automation development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement.
Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation framework for applications while maintaining quality standards.
Participate in peer code and design reviews.
Perform database related development for applications.
Design UI/UX that are 508 compliant.
Analyze business and system requirements to design
Coordinate with departments and users in support of business applications.
Develop complex application features and create technical designs.
Represent the IT department in terms of software development expertise in coordination with other departments.
Experienced with a wide range of technologies.
Provide technical assistance to the team, as needed.
About You
You have a Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant technical training with no preferred certification.
You have Five (5) to Seven (7) years of directly related software development experience
You have One (1) to Two (2) years of operational and/or technical business leadership experience.
You have Demonstrated experience with software automation in an agile environment and development frameworks (Spring, Junit and Selenium).
You have demonstrated RDBMS experience (i.e., Oracle, SQL Server and Postgres).
You have demonstrated experience working with Cl/CD pipelines (Bamboo & Jenkins).
You have demonstrated experience with REST APls and tools comparable to Postman & SoapUI.
You have proficient in Appian development using SAIL.
You have strong technical documentation experience.
You have Five (5) or more years of experience using products to write automation scripts, such as Cucumber or similar product, desired.
You have knowledge of application security concepts.
You have experience with agile SDLC; scripting languages; working with JMeter, HR LoadRunner and load You have UI to automate UI/API performance testing.
You have Experience in Designing/implementing end to end automation frameworks.
