Job Description

Join our team as a Warehouse Associate, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods.

Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles, and stack or pile materials like lumber, boards, or pallets.

Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

Verify computations against physical count of stock.

Maintain the condition of the work area by keeping it free of trash and ensuring products are in the correct location, while following company safety policies and procedures.

Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors.

May drive a truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate a forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.

Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills

Packing and picking skills.

Experience as an order selector and in order selecting.

Knowledge of warehouse operations, including pallet jack usage.

Stocking and sorting skills.

Experience in shipping and receiving.

Supply inventory management.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of machines and tools is preferred.

Forklift experience is advantageous.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically comfortable but includes regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes. Employees may experience noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accidents or illness. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand for periods exceeding 60 minutes, and perform repetitive movements. Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
