Job Title: Mold Line Specialty Operator

Job Description

As an Off-Line Mold Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of molding lines and pour decks. Your responsibilities include facilitating processes for large offline molds, driving a forklift to maintain active operations, and loading and unloading delivery trucks while servicing equipment across plant and warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

Select the proper size large flask based on the order.

Build offline or floor molds by shoveling large amounts of sand off the mold line.

Use large hammers to break apart large molds and cut vents and risers off hot castings, occurring 2-3 times daily.

Transfer floor molds and excess sand to the appropriate waste location as required.

Participate in a bi-weekly rotation with the mold line.

Operate forklifts in areas of limited space, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.

Deliver supplies such as ingots, scrap, zinc, and molds to the Pour Deck, managing slag and waste barrels.

Deliver sandbags and cores to the molding lines as needed.

Fill chemical tanks with binder resin and catalyst as needed.

Empty sand scales and dispose of the waste outside.

Maintain two forklifts, including completing inspections, performing battery maintenance, and washing.

Maintain dust collector barrels, bags, and paint fillers.

Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring packing slips match the load approximately 3-4 times daily.

Stock and maintain inventory supplies.

Provide feedback, log, and maintain the scale and waste manifest as required.

Transfer products between the plant and warehouse.

Calibrate scales for daily use.Essential Skills

General labor experience.

Production and machine operation experience.

Forklift operating skills.

Ability to stand all day and lift up to 75 lbs.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Willingness to work up to 50 hours a week.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00/hr.
