Burrow Global is looking to hire an Assistant Capital Project Manager.
The Assistant Capital Project Manager position is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to gain experience as a project manager managing infrastructure, maintenance, reliability, and capital projects in a Chemical Plant or Refinery setting.
The successful candidate will learn to gain experience driving multiple projects in various stages, from development to execution. Candidates will learn to manage cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirements. This position will help develop strong organizational and relationship building skills to help influence both internal and external resources, producing tangible results.
Under the broad direction of a Sr Capital Project Manager, this individual will assist the execution of the engineering design, procurement, construction and turnover to manufacturing of capital projects in accordance with applicable specifications and standards in order to achieve project objectives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in assuring capital projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by learning about the development, design and execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standards
Help review the assigned projects to ensure accurate budgeting, estimating, forecasting has been generated.
Learn to develop accurate scopes of work and construction packages including documentation
Request new/revised Process Safety Information from the appropriate departments
Work with the Sr. Capital Project Manager to analyzes and identify risks on projects
Participate in safety and constructability reviews
When requested learn to create requisitions for engineered items and development of spare parts list.
Work with the Sr. Capital Project Manager to communicate and resolves technical and commercial issues related to project objectives
Learn the process for dealing with Management of Change requests, and PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) reviews for each capital project.
Learn and understand what project documentation is needed and must be completed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 2-5 years of experience as a project engineer or project manager in the Petrochemical and/or Refining industry. Experience must include time with operating/owner company.
