Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to operate CNC Machines in a dynamic work environment. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up machines, and machining customized parts according to specific orders and specifications. While CNC Programming experience is advantageous, we are willing to train individuals who possess strong mechanical skills and a keen initiative to learn.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Set up machines for various projects.
Machine customized parts as per orders and specifications.
Participate in the four-step job process: quoting, order entry, manufacturing, and shipping.
Support manufacturing functions with an extensive inventory of material and tooling.
Contribute to continuous process improvement.Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Mechanical skills and a strong initiative to learn.
Troubleshooting abilities with CNC machinery.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The role is based in a family-owned machine shop with fewer than 20 employees. The position follows a straight 1st shift schedule. The facility offers a true job shop experience, focusing on customized and precision part-making using CNC equipment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
