Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Set up and prepare press brake machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tooling and materials.

Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine precise bending requirements.

Program and adjust machine settings, including speed, angle, and pressure, to achieve accurate bends and cuts.

Load materials into the machine and align them properly to ensure precise shaping.

Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.

Keep accurate records of production data and work performed.

Adhere to quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Essential Skills

Experience with press brake and brake press machines.

Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and engineering drawings.

Experience in setting up machines for sheet metal fabrication.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Accupress (or similar) setup experience.

Competency in blueprint reading.

Work Environment

Work in a shop environment that is climate-controlled, although temperatures can vary when bay doors are open.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
