Position Overview:

At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation. This role will work closely with business and technology partners to build out a governance function as part of the Enterprise Data Privacy Team to ensure responsible development and protecting personal information and mitigating potential risks like unauthorized data access and misuse.

Enable the long-term vision for our Enterprise Data Privacy Team's governance function and how it delivers business value. Provide clarity of purpose and prioritization for initiative objectives, promoting consensus and support from senior leaders as well as program partners. Enable the interaction between the different partner groups to support the success of the program. Provide a blueprint to define, plan, implement, evaluate and measure the performance of the data management function. Enable a well-managed Data Privacy Governance environment that enables the organization to meet its strategic priorities and develop strong analytics capabilities.

Your Impact:

Governance within Enterprise Data Privacy

Assist in defining Governance Scope related to enterprise data privacy and partner with Division Chief Data Officers, Division Risk Officers, and Division Privacy Liaisons to translate business strategies into practical business-oriented Privacy Governance strategies. Review proposed privacy tools, capabilities, etc regarding personal data usage and management. Develop and execute on requirements with partners to drive new metrics related to personal data usage across divisions. Govern compliance with enterprise control framework and lead aspects of the governance workstreams associated with the the Enterprise Data Privacy Strategy and Roadmap.

Qualifications:

At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor's Degree or related experience

General understanding of governance frameworks, including policies, standards, best practices and terminology to help ensure effective governance

Familiarity with Federal and State privacy laws and regulations to include privacy impact assessments and data protection assessments.

Understanding of governance as it relates to data privacy management and data privacy governance concepts.

Project management leadership skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of privacy tools such as OneTrust. Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, and Catalog/Glossary/Metadata tools such as Collibra and Data Flux. Knowledge of business models

Keys to Success in this Role:

Understanding of Governance and Data Privacy regulations and implications for Freddie Mac.

Excellent analytical, organization, project, and time management skills, strong judgment and management skills; efficiently collaborate with senior management, other technology personnel, clients and vendors.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
