The Office of Communications, Marketing, and Brand Management is seeking a candidate for Student Employment as a Video Editor.
This role will be tasked with helping to create high quality videos that may be featured in official TCNJ web and digital recruitment efforts.
The candidate will report to the campus photographer/videographer in the CMBM office and it will be for the '25-'26 academic year, starting in September and ending in May.
Main Responsibilities:
Capture footage of student life and campus-wide events that align with marketing priorities of the office
Cull footage down to the highest quality clips for sharpness, composition, and substance
Archive each clip with our naming convention and organizational structure
Assist with set up of lighting and other various equipment during video shoots
Transporting lighting and other equipment around campus, as well as occasional off-campus shoots
Edit videos as needed in accordance with office marketing priorities
Assist with other duties as necessary
Learning Objectives:
Learn how to shoot video professionally in a marketing capacity
Learn how to set up and apply artificial lighting to subjects and environments
Learn how to edit and apply graphics/effects that align with marketing priorities
Learn how to interact with subjects, from student peers to college leadership
Gain an understanding of the pre, and post-production process
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to take direction and be willing to learn
Must have experience with video cameras and video editing
Must have knowledge of Adobe Premiere
Must be available a minimum of 9 hours per week
Must be flexible for occasional evening and weekend events
