Part Time Adjunct Faculty - Animation (Professional and Continuing

Job Summary

The Evergreen State College seeks a faculty member to teach a two-quarter series of quarter-time (4 quarter hour) courses in animation in winter and spring quarters of academic year 2025/26. The courses may focus on a variety of animation techniques; it is preferred that the series of courses will include instruction on both analog and digital animation. The courses will be located in Evergreen’s school of Professional and Continuing Education and are expected to be taught in the evenings or on weekends. Courses focusing on analog animation will need to be taught in person; courses focusing on digital animation may be taught either in person or remotely.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in animation or closely related field Teaching or professional training experience Experience working with diverse and underserved populations of students Expertise in either analog or digital techniques of animation

Preferred Qualifications

Terminal degree in field College-level teaching experience Expertise in both analog and digital techniques of animation Willingness to use exploratory, cooperative approaches to teaching and learning
