Summary:
The Box Office Coordinator is a significant interface between the Jewish Community Center and our Cultural Arts patrons tasked with providing exemplary customer service and support.?
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Cultural Arts execute the day-to-day functions of the Box Office for New Jewish Theatre and other Cultural Arts programs such as Jewish Film Festival, Jewish Book Festival, Used Book Sale, Creative Writing Programs, Youth Theatre and Theatre Unlimited. The Box Office sells tickets online, via mail, over the phone and as a walk-up service.
Work with program directors and marketing to build seasons of shows or speakers in the ticketing system to sell those tickets.
Utilize online ticketing software to perform daily activities required for accurate processing, handling, distribution, reconciliation, reporting, and documentation of ticket sales.
Pull and analyze reports of ticket sales to assist New Jewish Theatre Artistic Director with royalty reports.
Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous fashion while providing exemplary customer service.
Keep detailed logs of activities and inform supervisor of any customer concerns requiring escalation.
Assist Cultural Arts Staff with event promotion as needed, including social media posts and outreach for program FB and Instagram pages.
Assist Cultural Arts Staff with acquisition of new patrons via phone calls, emails, texts, etc.
Assist NJT Artistic Director by organizing, scheduling, and running NJT auditions.
Run concessions for NJT, organize products, handle, and process cash, and make deposits.
Assists with mailings from various departments.
Participate in team meetings and assist with other administrative tasks to support the team.
Greet and welcome all guests, members and patrons who enter the Arts & Education Building entrance and provide them with assistance and direction.
Assist with grants tracking in Salesforce and other Salesforce tasks as time allows (training provided).
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is required.
College Degree in closely related field is preferred.
Social Media experience is strongly desired.
Demonstrated customer service skills interacting with the public is required. Must be able to provide excellent customer service across various mediums: phone, email, in person, etc.
Prior box office experience along with usage of on-line ticketing systems is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multitask, manage changing priorities and be very organized is required.
Able to bend and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds, work seated at a desk, move throughout the buildings.
Available nights and weekends as needed for Box Office and audition duties.

$19.00 Per Hour
