Examples of Duties
Coordinate department and JCPC processes/activities involving federal, state and county guidelines.
Monitor department and JCPC budget, process invoices for payments, assist with preparation of contracts/procurement processes, budget set-up/ revisions.
Help collect, collate, input, and analyze data relevant to risk and protective factors involving justice involved juveniles and their families; Develop community partnerships for service delivery model; implement strategies to combat juvenile crime.
Assist and support JCPC in documenting meetings, distributing materials, creating agendas/meetings and discussion points.
Monitor program activities and processes to determine fidelity and integrity of program implementation as compared to with state-authorized program agreements.
Compile monthly/annual reports for department and JCPC.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major/degree in a human services or administrative field and two (2) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of office practices and procedures
Knowledge of office software and applications to the administrative environment
Knowledge of accounting methodologies, accounts payable and receivable and payroll procedures in County government operations
Knowledge of supervisory practices and of the County’s personnel policies and procedures
Knowledge of a wide variety of administrative policies, procedures, and laws in support duties and tasks
Ability to supervise and train others
Ability to provide leadership to other support or program staff; ability to set work priorities and organize duties and tasks
Ability to gather and give information on departmental programs based on inquiries
Ability to analyze processes, procedures, and policies and formulate recommendations, solve problems analytically, identify strategies to assist at-risk juveniles
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to be tactful and courteous
Ability to formulate recommendations in precedent setting situations
Ability to formulate, monitor, and present budget recommendations
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver's license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
