Position Summary
The Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for actively selling and promoting treasury services to both existing and prospective clients and developing customized solutions by utilizing a range of products. This role partners with bankers across the bank footprint to identify potential treasury and deposit opportunities. The Treasury Management Sales Officer provides solutions and technical product consulting for all facets of business receivables, payables and cash position management. The Treasury Management Sales Officer manages prospect qualification, needs analysis and on-boarding. In addition, this role supports the growth of our Commercial Card and Merchant portfolios and expands relationships with existing customers. This position develops and maintains relationships with key internal partners to facilitate product, pricing and process knowledge. This position develops and delivers comprehensive proposals and presentations designed to impact client decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develops new Treasury Management customer business and expands commercial relationships while maintaining a high level of service.
Provides professional advice on Treasury Management ancillary services including Pcard, Merchant Services and ZSuite products.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth of Commercial Card.
Develops and delivers sales presentations designed to educate and advise clients of Treasury Management products and services.
Facilitates onboarding of complex industries or relationships.
Engages internal personnel to identify prospective clients or segments.
Ensures that pricing presented to clients or internal sales stakeholders represents profitable, viable business to the bank, while also directly meets client’s needs.
Acts as support and an education resource for the selling of cards assigned to other company personnel.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Coordinates the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
Adheres specifically to all Bank policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
Utilizes outside training opportunities to expand knowledge and experience.
Increases shareholder value through teamwork and superior customer service.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
General Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant field.
5-7 years banking experience preferred, with 2-3 years in a dedicated Treasury Management role.
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) certification preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Treasury Management services, account analysis, banking operations, and regulatory compliance related to treasury services.
Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple detailed work assignments with competing priorities without compromising service or accuracy.
Ability to travel within assigned markets, including overnight stays.
Must have strong sales and relationship building abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and aptitude to learn new software.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to locate and correct errors are necessary.
Must have the ability to organize tasks and set priorities.
Must exhibit strong leadership skills.
Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical and Mental Demands Vision, hearing, speech, movements require the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must be able to sit, stand, stop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work the days and hours required to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Quick thinking, adaptability and exercise discretion when necessary.
