Description

The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing key dealership accounts across North America. This Inside Sales Specialist is a solutions expert with great organizational skills, who can quote and position technical products for our exclusive dealer network throughout multiple market segments including but not limited to, Pre-K - 12, Colleges & Universities, Performing Arts centers, Worship, and Sports & Entertainment venues.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop quotations for Hussey telescopic and fixed seating product families for the Dealer Sales Channel.

Interpret technical information such as architectural drawings, AutoCAD drawings, and product specifications.

Collaborate with multiple departments, including Drafting, Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, and Scheduling.

Identify and/or recognize pricing requests that require solutions for non-standard product configurations and/or accessories.

Become a solution expert to offer value added selling advice to best position the Dealer and Hussey for success.

Make sound pricing decisions based on competitive intel and bidding landscape.

Teach, train, and educate Dealers on the proper use of Hussey’s electronic sales tools, quoting, and order processing systems.

Follow up on active quote opportunities to help achieve or exceed monthly incoming sales goals.

Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and product improvements.

COMPETENCIES: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Experience with quoting software, preferably Configure One, or the ability to learn.

Self-motivated, capable of working independently to drive sales results.

Ability to plan and handle multiple tasks and prioritize high volume workloads.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and excellent follow-up skills.

Excellent teamwork and strong collaboration ability.

Understanding of sales processes and the bid market process (i.e., Direct Owner vs. GM Bid).

Basic understanding of the construction cycle.

Basic / Entry level AutoCAD skills to view, open, and review drawings is desirable, but not required.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close.

Ability to recognize and promote value engineering or upselling opportunities.

Industry related construction knowledge, including Building Codes, ADA, etc.

Ability to correctly interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Coding experience or ability to automate processes preferred but not required

COMPUTER SKILLS:

ERP Systems experience such as SAP, Oracle or IFS (preferred)

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word)

Video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom, preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related technical field.

2+ years of experience in Sales or related field.

Knowledge of Building, Construction and Architectural products a plus.
