Job Posting

Duties include performing complex analyses, research, evaluations and studies related to risk management and employee benefits; providing statistical trend analysis, fund/claims and benefit cost monitoring, and other data management; developing requests for proposal (RFP’s) for risk management programs and assisting with the development of RFP’s for employee benefits programs; overseeing vendor, third party administrator and insurer contract performance; writing employee benefits and risk management material; and making presentations to employees, departmental management and others. Duties also include collaborating with training coordinator to assess risk management training needs; serving as functional lead on special projects; and providing assistance with coordination of city facility emergency action plans.A minimum of one year closely related experience and a Master’s degree (or any comparable combination of education and experience) in public or business administration, public policy, finance, human resources management orsimilar field required. Experience with Occupational Safety, Wellness, Healthcare, or Environmental Regulations preferred.Previous work with a municipality is beneficial. Must have knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations; and the principles and practices of risk management. May be required to respond to after-hours emergency calls.
