Summary
The Data Analyst Intern will support the Contract Services team at The Bank of Missouri by assisting in data analysis and visualization projects that support the bank’s BIN Sponsorship program. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to work with data from various sources, perform data management tasks, and conduct financial and operational analysis. The intern will collaborate with experienced analysts to support data-driven decision-making processes.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in analyzing data and generating insights using statistical and visualization techniques.
Help create and update reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track key trends and metrics.
Work with the team to perform data quality checks and troubleshoot any issues related to data accuracy.
Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports summarizing findings for management.
Write code that automates the ingestion and preparation of data from internal and external sources.
Integrate data from different databases, internal and external including relationship.
Learn to use data analysis tools, such as Python and SQL, for data preparation and analysis.
Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with other departments (Compliance, Operations, audit, etc.) if neccessary.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts, including statistical methods and data visualization.
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel; experience with Python, SQL, or Tableau is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats.
Eager to learn new skills in data analytics and gain experience in a financial services environment.
